So I've been working to dye my hair silver/grey and I bleached it twice 3 weeks ago let it chill out a while then bleached it two more time yesterday and then toned it and it was pretty ashy and light blond. So today I tried to finish (all the work being done by my newly licensed cosmetologist friend). We went to Sally's to get the die and the only solid grey/silver was semi permanent so they recommended at his Aragon oil hair dye and I added and color additive to enhance the grey. And some parts of my hair are grey other look a little green and the worst parts look golden orange and don't look grey except at the roots. Please help the damage has been done but now I need it all fixed! And hopefully to silver gray as soon as possible. Please help me ladies!-your my only hope.

First, you have to bleach it much much lighter before it will become silver. When you do bleach it down to a lighter blonde, just add a tiny bit of the violet additive to Wella T18 toner (and 20 volume developer)... then you should have silver hair. You can also use Roux Temporary Rinse in Ultra White Minx to achieve silver.
You can also try Ion Brilliance in Titanium, but I'm not a huge fan of their dye, so I haven't tried it myself... it looks quite dark also.
I have a video in my profile that shows you how, what to use, and how light your hair has to be in order to achieve the color. http://www.beautylish.com/v/yxqzgm/silverplatinumpastel-violet-hair

Exactly what natalie said! and also they should not have told you to mix two different brands like that together, that is probably why it turned funky):

Thanks Natalie. I have one question do I put the additive only or the additive with the dye because a lot at the things I seem when I had looked up before hand don't say

The product I told you to buy, Wella Colorcharm T18, is actually a violet based toner, not a dye. Honestly, I couldn't really tell you what makes them different from one another though haha. But add equal parts T18 Toner with 20 volume developer... I measure mine out with those little plastic dosage cups that come with liquid cold medicines. Then add a smidge of the violet 050 into the mixture. It says to use "one cap full" but since we like our hair silvery, you can add a little more than that. I just eyeball it, you can see in my video about how much I use. The worst that will happen if you add more than they suggest, is that your hair will have a purple or silver tinge which is pretty much what you and I want. The directions are suggestions are for those who just want blonde without any violet or silver effects to it. Anyways... Then you mix it all up and apply it.
I think what you bought was an ash blonde dye when you really need an ash blonde (violet) toner to achieve the look. I could be wrong, but that may be it, as I said, I don't really know the difference, I just know what works for me.
But to answer you question without all of the extra confusing directions I gave you: you mix it with your toner and developer.
good luck, Rudee!

It's really hard to get silver hair, it's almost impossible, as a cosmetologist I know this because I tried this myself, the only way you will be able to achieve this is by taking all of the pigment out of your hair or desired area, and you're definitely going to have to do a lot more lightening than that, you have to get up to a level 10/9 and tone it out with a purple based toner, reason being, purple cancels yellow out, also try not to do all of this at once, definitely let the swelling of your cuticle rest. The reason your hair turned green was because you added a blue based toner to blonde hair, blue and yellow make green. Another alternative is dying your hair a pretty pastel purple and letting it fade into silver lol, or buying purple shampoo. I used to use the purple shampoo to get rid of any unwanted yellowness...hope this works for you.

Also, to cancel out the orange you will need a blue based toner, blue cancels orange

Your hair is way to dark to be toning I think. Putting toner in it now will just make it look more ashy but won't get rid of the orange. I had this problem too trying to get to silver/white and I'd suggest shwartzkopft L+ dyes. There's a pretty big range the one I use is to lighten up to 8 shades but is a lot less damaging than bleach is and is what I used once a week for 3 weeks after I'd gotten to a decent orange colour. After using them if There were any slightly orange bits I bleached those once more only for 20 mins to avoid extra damage. Also, you'll find your hair feeling bristle and may break off whilst brushing it all I can say is buy a hair serum :) it worked wonders for my hair but the only downfall was washing it and waiting for moisture to get back into your hair, try a coconut oil and castor oil hair mask. Hope that helps :}
