I would like to make a Sephora inspired brush holder for my brushes, but I am concerned about damaging the handles. Can anybody recommend a material that will not chip or scratch my brushes?

Jelly beans omg that's one thing I've never seen before! How creative! I was sort of thinking of using coffee beans but I have a candle on my vanity and I'm not sure if the coffee would smell strong enough to clash with it or not.

Lol yeah I would too. I might try the coffee beans or some clear beads that you use for bean bags or something. I appreciate everybody's suggestions :)
