Uh I don't suggest dying your hair until you start getting grey roots. Dying your hair isn't that necessary, I would recommend focusing on like hairstyles to make self look pretty. But I mean don't feel like you have to. I'm 16 and I don't plan on dying my hair anytime soon.

I'm going to be honest about this...
I am also 13, but the first time I dyed my hair was for my fifth bday. I died it blue. that prolly didn't help you at all, but thaz my story. ;)
but here's my advice-if you DO start dyeing your hair, don't bleach yet. dyeing it isn't GREAT for your head, but bleaching is pretty bad.
if your mom/dad isn't comfortable with you using a dye like manic panic (which I rec, but not especially great, health wise. LOTS of colors and affordable, though.) you can talk about using henna hair dye first. you can get it at your local health food store. they don't have super vivid colors, but I have a bright red in my drawer, waiting to be used ;)

I'm 17 and I barely dyed my hair. and I like the color but I regret it. it's a lot of upkeep and my hair doesn't shine or feel as nice as my natural hair. I don't suggest dying it. natural hair is the best

I was 16 when I was allowed to dye mh hair...and it eas only highlights. hey..goos thing isvit keeps your hair from getting damaged from the color :-) maybe ask your parents about henna or something.
