Use products that help with your hair type, like mixed chicks conditioning treatments, Shea moisturizers, Aussie has goods products too. Also make sure you use natural oils in your hair! I use Jakob's oil and it's helped stop the breakage define fly!

Deep conditioners w/o silicones, homemade conditioners avocado +honey + yogurt is a great one. Oils to lock in moisture...eevo, coconut, castor, grapeseed!
Try to stay away from heat and harsh chemicals

I've tried so many things and what works for me is keeping my ends from breaking. So I use Moroccan Argan oil hair treatment which comes in a tub and looks like conditioner. I leave it in for 20 minutes. It's by organix and then after I rinse it out I use actual Argan oil on my ends an it works really well.
