Does the color of the plates of a straightener matter?

I need a new straightener. I have thin fine hair & was looking at a one called tool science with curved plates to help wave & curl. But the plates are red. I've only bought ones that are gold & silver. Does the plates being red matter at all?

No it color doesn't matter. I just got a tool science iron and love it!

I don't think so I think its more for appeal.

I don't think so either. they might be ceramic plates, they usually make those colored.
