Primer or setting spray?!

Hi guys, I use makeup and I have done for years but by the end of the day my makeup seems to kind of melted off my face, I do touch up at lunch to prevent it. I'm sick and tired of this so I was wondering what I should get-urban decay setting spray or smash box primer. I'm kind of on a budget so I can only get one for now, which one is best to keep your makeup in place and is there really a difference between primer and setting spray?

Primer keeps makeup on your face like setting spray does but it also keeps product from absorbing into your skin and causing breakouts. For a regular day I just use primer but if it's going to be a long night and I'm dancing/sweating I use both.

I would get the smash box primer as well. I have to green color correcting one and I love it!
