I did this manicure two days ago and the pointer fingers are already chipping. This always happens, any tips to prevent chipping?

Maybe apply a layer of clear nail polish? Otherwise I think it's just one of those annoying things you have to deal with. Hope the clear polish things helps x

I use the Sally Hansen top coat, I guess it is just one of those annoying things, thanks.

Wear gloves if you do any chores around the house with your hands... the only way to prevent it is the protect your nails and/or just don't use your bare hands to do anything...

Yeah I definitely have to invest in some gloves. And I use the Sally Hansen insta dry top coat in the red bottle, I've heard its just as good as seche vite but apparently not. I'll have to get some!

I agree with the seche vite fast dry top coat... The formula is super thick (but doesn't make you polish gross and weird) and hardens your nails. Make sure when you apply your top coat you go down over the actual tip of the nail, to seal the edge of your polish.

I actually think it's not your topcoats cause Sally Hansen works great! The reasons to why it chips off is because 1- your nail polish has air bubbles in it keep it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before using and also 2- your nail bed has excess oils and stuff ill go into that detail we normally put hand cream and cuticle oils and the biggest no no is washing your hands before putting on your new coat DONT do that it leaves your nail polish chippy and sometimes it comes off in one piece that no seche vite or any other top coat can save! I know it's a lot to read but I hope it helps also invest in a nail thinner could be goopy nail polish or if all else fails it's your top coat haha! Have a good day :)

Lol, thanks for the tips Selena, it could be an issue with my nails, I always have those flaky white layers that peel off...any fixes for that?
