The most important thing when it comes to keeping curly hair healthy is to stay away from heat as much as you can. Ieven in the shower, wash with cold water. Also, curly hair tends to be super dry, so moisturizer at night before bed, and keep washing to a minimum so avoid any drying out. Your curls are gorgeous, btw :)

My favorite piece of advice from john frieda: Don't wash out your conditioner, run a bit of water through it but leave it on. This really helps your curls tremendously, and next time you wash your hair you won't need to de-tangle it.
Stay away from shampooing often, when you do- shampoo just your scalp and allow the water to run the shampoo through your hair when you rinse. Shampoo is very stripping of the oils we need as curly hair women.
Also, water temperature does not affect your hair. Extreme temperatures of hot/cold can be very bad for your hair. These are old wives tales. Your hair contains absolutely no living cells- therefore your hair does not become shinier, or softer to water temperature. The truth to that myth is that hair cuticles, which resemble shingles on a roof, lie flat when splashed with cold water. As a result, the smoothed cuticles reflect more light, making hair appear shinier, this however is very temporary and will not last very long.
Do hair treatments, lots and lots of treatments. Avocado and olive oil leaves your hair soft and frizz free.
Coconut oil is great because it helps by penetrating deep into the follicles and stimulating growth. To achieve maximum results, coconut oil, and other oils should be warmed before applying on the hair.
Avoid using Mane n' tail's line of shampoo and conditioner. It's PH is not balanced for human hair and scalp, and will simply leave you with dry brittle curls. ( Scientifically and I speak personally with this brand. )
Conditioner is your best friend, and leave ins. Make that your Holy Grail Priority, condition, condition, condition.
Honestly, over all to give you a good insight as many think I'm a white girl with white girl curls. My hair is next to african americans. My family is dominican with a mix of haitians, and my mom being indian is what keeps my hair from that borderline. My hair is so tightly curled that even though it's length when wet or straight is right below my breast, by my ribs, when dry and curly it's as long as a bob. My family has even brought me to DR to do chemical treatments on my hair when I was 9 years old, so I've done my fair share of suffering as those treatments make your hair worse and fall out in the long run. Embrace your curls because they are easier to work with it and look best!

Use anything that has argan oil in it! I got some pro naturals moroccan argan oil for my hair, their products are sulfate, sodium and silicone free so they’re super moisturizing. They’re good for curly hair.
