Hey! So I smoke, and I study art at school. I use paints, pencils and charcoals a lot. Since growing out my nails, I've noticed that the white tips get very discoloured from my smoking and use of messy art utensils. They go grey, or sometimes even yellow. What can I do to make them look pretty and white or clear? I keep my nails clear, but the discolouration makes them look dirty.

I know on natural nails you can dab hydrogen peroxide on them to make them brighter :)

I'd suggest washing your hands often and follow that with a super moisturizing lotion. Also, if you always put a clear coat on your nails, that should protect them a bit from discoloration.

Thanks girls :) @Hannah, I find that frequently washing/moisturising my hands weakens my nails, and results in a very clear colour.

There are special white pencils,(they look like eyepencils) for under your tips. works very well!
