Trim off the dead ends

Okay first of all, trim the ends. Nothing you can do will put spilt ends back together. Once you've done that, use a sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner (I like the L'oreal EverStrong line). Also, invest in a repairing mask or deep conditioner (I like Macadamia's Deep Repair Masque, and Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle). In the shower, wash your hair before you do anything else. Shampoo only your roots, and condition only from your ears down. After you've done that, apply your deep conditioner liberally to the ends of your hair, and minimally to the rest of your head. Then put your hair in a but for the remainder of your shower; washing the conditioner out should be the last thing you do. Other than that, don't try to blow dry or straighten your hair when its super wet, that will destroy it. If you can, lay off of heat styling for a bit. If you can't, use a heat protector (I like John Freida's Full Repair spray). You can also take supplements like Biotin or fish oil pills, those help a little bit.

Don't use your falt iron as often it makes your hair dry and makes your ends split. use the Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle but the only thing that I do is I kept it on cause conditions your hair and it helps it especially wen your about to do your hair. it keeps it soft , conditioned and natural..

Hannah got it right on! Last week when I cut my hair I talked to my stylist (who has been stuling for 23 years) and he said heat in moderation is okay, like 2-3 times a week on a medium to low settingv, the worst is putting it in a high setting. Also he said touching up your hair on days after on a low setting only. Heat protectants are wonderful also, use them anytine you use heat, even blow dryers.
