I'm not the best at apply make up and I don't wear lipstick gloss eyeshadow etc. I don't have foundation brushes I tend to just apply by hand. I use a tiny bit of bronzer and powder to finish and that is it really but I would like a really good foundation to try.
I don't want to look orange but at the same time because I'm pale I like to look like I've got make up on if that makes sense... Can anyone help? I've bought loads over the years but can't find anything that suits!

Having fair skin myself I know it's such a struggle and generally "drugstore" make up never has my colour. Best try a high end one as they do more shades and counter staff will colour match you. Also they will be able to give a weeks free sample of the foundation for you to try and see how you like it. Personally I love Estée Lauder and they have several shades for lighter girls. I'd stay away from Clinique as they don't do very pale shades but always say it'll match you...lied!

I have super fair skin also. The thing I have found is drugstore brands don't usually go light enough, so be ready to buy higher end. I have been using Urban Decays Naked Skin Foundation, but Kat Von D also has a good one, it is just a little thicker than the UD, but if you apply with a makeup sponge sprayed with water it feels really light.

Nars has very pale shades such as Mont blanc, deauville, and Siberia! Tarte has a fair shade in Amazonian clay foundation that is extremely pale as well. Kat von d's lightest shade is very white and also make up forever hd...I have tried all these brands and do like them all. currently am using makeup forever hd and it is fantastic. I'm fussy on foundation because I an very pale as well but still want coverage without being heavy. these are great choices.

Wet n Wild Coverall has a shade that would be (should be) light enough for you. Judging by the picture I'm pretty much the same skintone as you, and it works for me. I have a picture on my profile of the before & after with the Wet n Wild.
