Be sure to get regular protein treatments. These will help to repair weakened proteins in your hair strands and make them stronger. I would do them once a month until you see the improvement that you are looking for. As for the dryness, I would try regular scalp treatments. These generally include conditioning with a Keratin conditioner, which is the protein that hair is made up of, and the professional stylist will do scalp manipulations that are designed to encourage blood flow to the scalp and thus the hair follicles themselves. This can also aid in loosening any sebum, the oils that come from the pores in the scalp, and allowing for better circulation to the scalp. This will help the hair to get all of the vitamins that it needs with no blockages. These treatments are pretty cost effective and risk free. These aren't like chemical processes that can damage hair. These are simply to strengthen the hair strands and to condition the hair and generate blood flow and thus better health to the hair through the scalp. A very healthy and balanced diet is also an often overlooked major help in producing beautiful and healthy hair!! Many blessings!!

I just use the Ion Repair Solutions intense conditioner, and I even add some of my red conditioner to it aswell. When my hair was really bad I would do twice a week for 10 minutes on the ends (I have extensions also so I keep it away from the roots), but it's got my hair in pretty great shape and I only do it once a week now. But I keep my washing to a minimum as is because I love my color too much, dry shampoo is a bestie.

Slather your hair in coconut oil or olive oil before you shampoo. Even Shampoo can dry it out. There is so much info out there about hair upkeep. Read it. I do some sort of treatment every time I wash. Twice a week. I have color hair, sometimes blow dry, and have only had one cut in the last two years and I have very few split ends cuz I condition the fuck out of my hair with DIY and fancy treatments and oils.

And if you sweat at the gym slather conditioner not oil on the ends and rinse well. Do not wash daily!! Unless you have very short hair that doesn't dry out.

Sulfate free argan oil shampoos and conditioners are the best, they help moisturize and make your hair healthy. I use pro naturals argan oil shampoo/conditioner so I recommend those!
