I've been wearing eye liner liquid for years and I still can't figure out how to apply it so it doesn't smug? Any help?

Its because of greasy eyelids, I have the same problem. use an eyeshadow primer (urban decay has amazing ones) and set it with an eyeshadow closer to your skin or even lighter (amd to comtour you eye do what I said and then use like a light brown in the crease, super cute!!) then apply your eyeliner and depending on how long it takes to dry keep your eye closed until it does.

I have greasy lids and still no transfer or smudge, it may be the brand of liner you're using.
