I sweat a lot under my arms. I plan to talk to my doctor about it, but I don't have an appointment til June. Are there any household remedies that help with sweating that I can try?

Yeah, I've already tried secret clinical strength. I like everything about it... Except that it doesn't work for me.

Yeah I use to use witch hazel.
I have sensitive skin so witch hazel works good for me. but its slower.
but part of my gut busters gettin my body back for summer I always work on dark marks during the winter. elbows, knees, etc. maybe ill use seabreeze to speed up the process get drastic change then go back to witch hazel.

I used to use sea breeze on my face it was amazing.. I couldnt find it anywhere and eventually forgot about it and I got witch hazel which made me break out! Almost clinical strength made me feel like I sweat even more so I don't recommend that.

Order maxim anti-perspirant online. You should put it on your armpits before you go to bed and let it dry while you sleep. Don't put it on right after you shower because it's extra irritating then... Wait at least a few hours. When you see your dermatologist, she can prescribe you medication to lessen your sweating or she may be able to give you Botox injections in your armpits. They are quite expensive if your health insurance company doesn't cover them though.

If you're only interested in household products, I've read a lot about the use of coconut oil as a deodorant/antiperspirant. Check out this woman's take on it, and then maybe you can branch out from there with the help of some good online research: http://www.anorganicwife.com/2012/03/coconut-oil-as-deodorant.html?m=1
I buy my coconut oil pretty cheap @ Trader Joe's. But you can find it at health or vitamin shops.
If you're willing to go outside of the 'household' for something, I highly recommend certain dri - it's cheap and sold at major retailers (drugstores/grocery stores). I had some serious sweat problems during my teens/early 20s and that worked really well for me. I used it on and off for about a year and haven't had an issue since. Good luck Becca!
