I don't use very often fundation, so I don't know if the primer is very imporant for a natural finish or whatever. Tell me! Is it important? Thank you!!

I don't use primer at all. if your makeup stays on fine without it there's really no need for it.

I say yes! I would agree with Kenzie. But if to have a good primer you'll have an easier time applying your makeup as well.

If you want long lasting makeup then I would say yes. But if you're like me, and you have sensitive skin, it can cause you to break out quickly

I say yes because it just gives a smooth finish.

If you have very oily skin, will be wearing your makeup for a long time, or have big pores or a lot of fine lines, a primer is very beneficial and I definitelt recommend it. Otherwise, you don't really need it!

It depends on the finish you want & how your skin is. different primers do different things. some help illuminate the skin, some help fill in pores, but all help to keep makeup lasting longer. so for me, I think it is an important part of my routine, but for others it's not really. just depends on the look you want (:

I stopped using it over a year ago. I only applied in my t-zone when I was using it. Was it helpful? Kinda sorta. It was pointless during hot humid summers in FL. but ok during cooler months. Since I stay on top of my skincare and my skin has improved for the better coupled with the fact I use a high-end foundation that diffuses a few issues I found the primer to be useless for me. Now when it comes to the eyelids...I cannot go without primer.lol.

Almost every actual MUA I've talked to said primer isn't necessary, and I'd have to agree. If you have enlarged pores a silicone primer will help that, but as far as keeping your makeup on longer, I don't see how it would help. That's just a gimmick so you'll buy more primer lol. It's more important to keep your skin moisturizer, imo, primer and moisturizer will basically do the same thing; but moisturizer will provide actual moisture for your skin lol. A with that being said I do use a primer because it lets my foundation go on smoother, using less product. So basically I use primer because I'm cheap, not because it helps me. Like Mairead said, if you want longevity, go with a setting spray.

I have dry skin so my best primer is simply a moisturizer! I don't see a huge need for it, although many of my friends with oily skin swear by it.

Yes! At least for my skin but I guess it just depends but I can tell a huge difference when I don't use my makeup doesn't look as good or last as long

Thank you!! I will try a primer, I have my T zone oily, so I would try the Rimmel's one. What about another primers? Porefessional by Benefit is very popular, but a bit expensive. What do you think?
