Is it bad to put foundation powder on top of foundation? I think its normal but can it affect the skin?

No, it doesn't affect the skin unless you have a reaction to an ingredient in the powder. It's pretty much essential to do on oily/combination skin in the T-zone.

I think the worst that could happen is clogged pores and looking cakey. If you need better coverage I would look into getting a foundation, either liquid or powder, that has better/fuller coverage or getting a medium/full coverage foundation and adding concealer to those spots that need it more and then using a finishing powder. It sounds like a lot but it would probably feel a lot lighter. But if the double foundation works for you then go for it. If your skin is clear and healthy it's fine, everyone is different.

And just to clarify you mean an actual powder foundation, correct? Not a setting or pressed powder?

I use Mac Studiofix plus foundation powder foundation on days I want more coverage. I use it lightly and build the coverage when I want a matte finish. Looking cakey is what you need to worry about. Just add a little at a time. And as long as your products say non comedogenic or non acnegenic and you have no reactions to the ingredients in your products, it has no negative effect on your skin.

I like to use a powder, but not a foundation powder, I like to use a translucent powder to set my foundation, so that it can stay longer and control some oil.I think foundation on a foundation is too much and can sometimes get cakey, it's just too heavy for me.

Or you could use a pressed powder.
