So it is now summer in Australia, and I want to get a healthy glow, not a bright red tinge, I understand to ALWAYS use SPF 30 on my skin but will the tanning oil still work at all if I put it over the top? If so, can anyone tell me how exactly it works? Never really used it before.

Sunscreen blocks you've rays so no, your oil would not work. Also, I would recommend using a professional lotion, oil with pretty much fyr your skin, and it's not pretty in the long run.
