Hi guys! I used to use MAC foundation (nc45) and my already acne prone skin has quadrupled in pimples!! I stopped using it, but I need to find a non-comedogenic or oil-free foundation (preferably heavy-ish coverage). Please help! Any suggestions?

I've had that same problem with MAC for years. I use Make Up For Ever without any trouble. It has really good coverage and no breakouts (for me anyway).

I love MUFE as well. I think Mac foundations are just too heavy. I apply MUFE with a flat top brush from ELF and my skin has never looked better! I also just make sure to get every ounce of makeup off at night before I go to sleep. My routine is pretty involved... but I want clear skin!

You might like benefits hello gorgeous oxygen wow, it's really lightweight as oil free and has medium coverage;) I also heard neutrogena has a skin clearing foundation, it contains salicylic acid which can help prevent further breakouts . Mac foundations heavy and not great for blemish prone skin hope that helped

Honestly, if i have acne & it doubled while using foundation, i would stop wearing foundation all in all. Thats just me though, but if you feel you need to wear foundation, Neutrogena has a skin clearing one thats formulated to help acne go away: Neutrogena oil free skin clearing foundation. The performance of this product depends on your skin, I've heard from women who used this that it helped clear up acne.

I would first allow your skin to heal from the current outbreak before wearing a new foundation. But I definitely agree with Debbie R about Neutrogena....it has beneficial ingredients to help avoid future breakouts.

I agree with Shelley W. I have pretty bad acne prone skin and whenever I breakout from foundation, I don't wear ANY makeup (except for lip balm, because my lips are always chapped) until my skin mostly clears up. I don't want to irritate it anymore that it already has been. But if you need some coverage, the Neutrogena sounds good (never tried it) or what I like to do is wear a tinted moisturizer. Very lightweight and doesn't bother my skin. Good luck!

I also agree with Shelley. I'm currently using Benefit's Oxygen Wow liquid foundation and for the day Too Faced's BB Cream. I've also used Benefit's Play Sticks and never had problems with that either (it's a cream foundation in a twist-up stick). Hope that helps!

I like Clinique Even Better, the coverage is buildable and it contains "medicine" for your skin to counteract acne. I'm wearing it in the second set of photos here:
