My nail polish, no matter what brand always chips within the next 2-3 days!:( any techniques on how to keep them from chipping? Or even base coat/ top coat recommendations?

Nails inc makes a top cost called Kensington caviar top coat. It's ammmmmmazing; dries hard in 45 seconds and I can go a good week before my nails start to chip (all day in a salon beats my nails up!). You can get it at sephora.
