Depending on the volume you use if you use a 40 it will lift and lighten your hair a lot.

Yeah it works. I think you just have to use a 30 or 40 developer.

It won't be as bright as Rihanna, but recently the same girl from the video posted this picture on IG. She said she used the same technique as in the video only she went over the hair twice.

I used that a few years ago, with a 20 developer and it made my hair super red. Just know the containers are small, I have thick and long hair and I used 5 and a 1/2 tubes of it. And if you want real red make sure you get red not the red hot or whatever if is, it's very strong pink. I used the pinker one first and I went from dark brown hair to this.

After It faded a bit I used the actual red dye without developer to make it less pink

And then after it faded a bit I touched it up without developer so it wouldn't damage and made it less pink and I liked it a lot better. People stopped coming up to me and saying "is your hair pink or red? I say it's pink but my friend thinks it's red" lol. This was the only picture I could find sorry it's not better quality.

Thank you Alyx!! Yea I know the tubes are small so I'm going to purchase about 5 boxes but I think I'm going to purchase Red and Magenta and mix them up!
