How does this effect on my friend look?

This is one of my first pieces at amateur photography. I added effects on my friends picture. I contrasted the light and dark of the pic in black and white. there's more light in the center, which is meant to kinda focus on her face. what do you guys think? (btw, I had no idea where to post this since its it off topic)

I think you should lessen the contrast so it'll be a more subtle as in the whiteness on the face.
