Hi I wanted to know what is the purpose of using a primer and also if anyone knows any good ones thank you you for the help :)

I have a trial size of the Smashbox photofinish primer and it works well and primer Is basically what Morena T said it was for it keeps your makeup on and it makes sure you don't break out and I would definitely recommend a primer if you have oily skin

Primers help your makeup to last longer. There are specific primers to target skin issues you may have like redness. I agree that the smashbox primers are great!
