I'm seriously considering getting a chemical peel done for my dark spots due to acne and sun damage. Does anyone have experience with chemical peels, and what type of peel would be best for acne/dark spots, and acne in general that's not too harsh... This would be my first time getting a peel, and I'm little apprehensive so, any information and your experiences will be appreciated!

I'm in the US, but I looked up Bravura. I'll rather get the peel professionally done then at home...I don't trust myself! Haha.

I had peels done to my face. It really messed up my skin. It was a horrible experience. All it did was break me out and burned my skin even though I went to a dermatologist. maybe your experience will be different but honestly it was HORRIBLE for me.

I do chemical peels at work hun its not for everyone your skin type has to be able to tolerate the peel you can get gentler peels done ,you don't have to get a strong one done,or you can get a round of microdermabrasion done also but you also can do a at home routine ,as long as you don't have deep pits stabilized vitamin c paired with AHA and Retinol helps alot and the use of spf of atleast 30 daily.

Thanks Traci! What's AHA? Never heard if it. Is it a cream, serum? The reason I'm asking is because I really want to perfect my home routine too! If I was to use all three (vitamin c, aha and retinol) in what order do I apply then to my face, how often, and in what form? There are so many products out there, it's so confusing! Haha.

And your not going to start all three at once you start with Aha and a c serum then after your skin becomes acclimated to it in about two months you can add retinol in maybe 3 times a week to start. You can get a C serum and a AHA gel or cleanser or a latic peel which is what I use twice a week

My friend did a chemical peel, and I came out soooo good, her skin was not bad but she had marks and they were all gone after she did it. Her skin got really dry and the first layer came off, but after 2 weeks it was all clear, she had to stay out of the sun but if she went in the sun she had to wear a really heavy sun screen, hers was 35% glycolic acid.
