Revlon makes a really good one called Violet Frenzy.. I like to line my lips with Dolly Pink from NYX and then put the purple over. The Dolly Pink gives it that pink tone and makes it not come off so dark! I know Wet'n'Wild make a good matte purple too but I can't think of the name of it! :) My display on here has the dolly pink+ violet frenzy duo on my lips if you wanna see.

I love the Kate Moss one from Rimmel! I also really like one from Milani called Black Cherry. SUPER creamy and it smells awesome!!

Hands down, Va Va Violet from Revlon. It's like $8, and I not only use it regularly on me, but I find myself pulling it out constantly for photoshoots and using it to make Ombre Lips.
