Also my main question is how to create the "sucked in face" look by contouring the cheeks.

Personally i would go for a white cream makeup/ foundation then a black gel eyeliner on a small detail brush for all the detail and the eyes, then i would use a light blue eyeshadow on the lips and for contouring i would use a black gel eyeliner mixed with a concealer on a contour brush :)

The contouring is the same as you would on a "normal" look just using black face paint over the white face paint for a strong contrast

For the contour, obviously it would be black, I'd recommend a cream unless you haven't worked with it before (then a shadow will work fine) if you've never contoured ask your friend to suck in their cheeks (like a fish) and start with the darkest of the black by the temples, fading the color down at a diagonal towards the nose, UNDER the cheek bones, this will create the "hollow" look. It takes time to perfect the blending, build up the color until you've reached your look! :) hope this helps Hun, good luck!!
