Updating my skincare regime!

I have a bit of money to spend and would like to switch up some products in my skincare regime, I feel like what I am using right now isn't working too well.

I'm looking for a scrub that would be gentle enough to use daily, but will still deep clean my skin as I have a lot of clogged pores and blemishes (teenage skin).

I'm also looking for an OIL-FREE moisturiser that won't clog pores, facial wipes that will remove make up without irritating my skin, and I was also considering a toner, but wondering if it was necessary?

Any suggestion please, at this time I have no budget, just want to see what's been tried & tested! Thanks! :)

Hi Zoe, you don't have to spend alot of money for a good skin regime, look for products that are for your skin type, oily, combo, dry acne prone. I like target Bc they have a good array of products u can mix and match look for the boots no 7 line , that have great products for every skin type. I like their microdermabrasion exfoliant the scrub is super fine and leaves skin polished but only recommended to use 2 x a week. Using a cleanser with salicylic acid should help w any breakouts and I would use a toner that also has salicylic acid in it to sweep up any residue and balance out the skin. I've used many brands and just Bc they cost a bundle doesn't mean they work any better. The boots no 7 makeup remover wipes are amazing and hypoallergenic and you can use them for eye makeup unlike other brands . Neutrogena makes good oil free moisturizers I would look for one with a SPF and antioxidants of possible, we can all benefit from anti oxidants , anyway hope this helps a bit let me knownif u have any questions ;)

Oh no I didn't mean it like I had to have expensive skincare products, just that I have a little more money to spend so I don't have to limit myself.
So do you think a toner is worth it? It seems like one of those 'is it really necessary' products.
Thanks Debbie! :)

I like toner but it's not absolutely necessary, it's probably the one step u could skip if you're short on time. That said there are toners that act as treatments on your skin which I really like, I have one that like. Mini peel cause it's made with lactic acid, it helps me with my fine lines and large pores. So that's my take on it, you can get great results with a good cleanser , exfoliant and moisturizer though for sure;)

I like the Philisophy Microdelivery face wash for a daily exfoliatir. Philisophy Purity wipes are excellent for makeup removal wo being harsh and it sounds like the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath moisturizer would be good for you. As far as toner, not necessary. It can provide some benefit (mild exfoliation) but not essential

Toner helps remove any remaining film or nasty minerals left behind from tap water. I wouldn't skip out on the toner because a cleanser can always manage to miss something. Simple has a great affordable toner that rivals my high-end toner. You can find Simple in Target and Walmart.
