It's like applying contacts:) I find that a magnified mirror helps me to see better.

You arent big at all! and its a cute outfit if I were you I would practice a bit with them before the party so you get the feel of them apply lashes to the lash line.

Ok, should I practice without glue?
Dec 4, 2013
Lolita B.
No, practice with glue. they won't stick well with the adhesive already on them.

The outfit is fab, I love the dress. I agree with Angel, practice applying the lashes before hand to figure out the application that works best for you before the party. There are any number of great tutorials on YouTube that can help get you started. Good luck. :)

I would practice with the glue so youll have more experience and confidence with the application of them. I'm sure they'll look fab :)

You don't look big kelly..
lashes are easy.
watch a couple tutorials. read a few articles..n then go for it!. I got it my first try. a friend that wore makeup let me do her makeup to see what she could help me on so she "taught" me lashes that way. but I did it right off what I'm telling you now. (this was years ago but still). just rem it depends how it looks with the eye open..

If you worry that it will look to "weird" to others, you could opt for a more natural look, and cut a strip in half and use only half to the outside corner of the eye, this will look very pretty and natural too. Individual lashes is also an option for natural looking lashes, but I feel (others might disagree) they are harder to apply. Good luck!

I use the kind that are called self adhesive I think (Ardell brand at Sally's Beauty). They don't require glue, they are just made with super sticky material at the strip. They stay on all night too no problem. I hate trying to use the ones with glue.

The trick with the glue is to let it dry longer than you think you need to before application,it should be tacky ,if it's to wet it slides all over the place and also don't use to much apply a thin small bead across the band let dry for about a min then apply ,and I always use tweezers that's just my preference I have long nails and tweezers are just easier for me

Thanks Traci, can I get Duo Glue at Walgreens or Ulta?

Kelly you are lovely!! Rock the gorgeous curves that God gave you and have fun dressing up those beautiful eyes. You can find Duo at most drugstores, pop a blob on the back of your hand and dip the back of a makeup brush in it to paint thin lines on the strip. Let the glue go a bit tacky for fifteen seconds, tilt your head back and lay them on top of your own lashes. Tuck in the corners, and if you need to or feel more comfortable, add an extra dot of glue to the ends.:) Have fun!!

@Traci. its funny you mention letting it dry first.
like I said, I watched a couple videos n read stuff online then did my friebds. I was letting the glue dry n she's like, what! I've never done that. no wonder I make a mess. Been doing it wrong for years. reading is fundamental. lol..
