I want a clarisonic But I can't afford one. I have heard that the olay one is just as good and very affordable. have you tried either? I also have very dry skin, would this help with the flaky patches on my face?

I love my clarisonic! It is pricy but with it, it does a great job with exfoliating just use a good moisturizer after! Mac's studio moisture creme is great!

I personally could not see myself using anything but the Clarisonic. But, of course, I'm sort of biased because that's what I started out with. I haven't tried the Pro X but the main difference between them is the Clarisonic uses sonic vibrations/pulses to remove dirt, oil and dead skin. The Olay brush just rotates back and forth which I've heard isn't good for the skin. I think either would help with flaky patches, but so could a scrub. I would try that first and then decide if you need one of them.
I would invest in the Clarisonic personally. It's technology is better in my opinion and I can tell such a difference when I use it. I honestly wouldn't trust my skin to an off brand. You could get the most basic model of the Clarisonic too. They all do the same thing, some just have different settings or accessories that bump their price up. The technology that makes it work is still there no matter the model. Sephora also might still be having their $99 sale on the Mia First. That still is a good chunk of change but it's worth every penny and I think it would be worth taking the time to save up for.

Honestly the clarisonic may seem like an investment in a bad way. But it's also an investment in a good way. It gets your skin so clean and it helps your products to work so much better. You end up needing less products because you're not having to compensate from the damage of scrubs and cheaper tools. If the price tag scares you, try eBay. I'm an eBay fanatic. People tend to shy away from eBay because they think all the products are used when I have bought hundreds of things from eBay and they're ALL brand new. I got my Clarisonic there for $80 for the expensive one and four heads. I saved well over $150. You can get some amazing deals on there! Check it out!

You could also look at QVC, sometimes they have deals on it as well.

Thanks, I think I'll just save up for the clarisonic and shop around for a good deal.

With the holidays here I think your chances of getting a good deal are pretty good. Best of luck! It will be worth the wait and the money. I believe you can try them in action at Sephora and Ulta so you might want to check that out too :)
