Below is a picture of my natural virgin hair (before cosmetology school).
I have color in at the moment and its a level 10 (very light blond) and a 8 (medium blond). 8 is the darkest I have ever been. Any advice on what I should do, or should I keep dark hair just a fantasy?

Try going dark, but keep in mind that if you don't like it, it'll be a long and damaging process going back to blonde.

^ ain't that the truth.
It's hard enough to get my roots to match this almost platinum blond I have now. I miss about five colors and barely get close to my natural.
It's kind of depressing.

Or my platinum to match my roots rather.

No don't colour it dark! You will regret it, and it could make you look very pale and washed out just try some darker foils to start off with like a light brown dark blond colour, I've made that mistake before and everyone was always asking me if I felt okay because it made me look super pale!! :)

And yes I went all shades of orange to get back to blonde over a very log period of time, and so much damage to my hair!

What about going to a wig shop and seeing what you like before you commit

I'm naturally blonde, I've had black hair for the last five and a half years(I have put different colors in my bangs, but the rest has always been black) and I don't regret it at all. I feel like I look a lot better with dark hair. It's more than natural to have black hair for me now and it didn't take any getting used to for me then. The only bad thing is, as you know since you say you've taken cosmetology, black isn't a color that allows you to really change and just try something else out for a while unless you want to try out a short haircut with it. But I make up for it by changing my bangs. Since them being damaged doesn't cause any harm to the length of my hair which is mostly what I am worried about, it works.

I went to black hair towards the end of cosmetology school and I love it. You can all ways do under tones of color I have done blue and purple. You will look great with dark hair, go for it. Go black!!

I adore your blonde hair. But I understand you want something different. Light brown would look gorgeous on you

I love the color of your natural! But I've been really dark before and now I'm more blonde and I actually like it way more..so I guess you have to experiment to see what you like best!
