I have hair just as curly as hers! What I do is just spray it with some sprunch hairspray when its wet and part it accordingly and let it frizz and do what its going to do. I don't use gel products on my curls but you may try to use them, I think it just takes away from the naturalness. I love Lorde!

It looks like a deep side part, just play around with your hair until you get the part.you want, since it's really curly it may be easier to do it when its wet.

From your right side make an angled part that's only about 1 1/2 to 2 in. Long. Tease the crown of your hair back, hairspray and Voilà you did it!👏
