I just got my cartlidge pierced about 5 days ago and its red and swelled up and I don't know what to do? I it infected? How do I stop this?

Its just irritated , if you take it off and see that its oozing then it's infected

My friend got it and she put alcohol with a q-tip around it hope it gets better.

Keep cleaning it and don't sleep on it. That happens to my ear piercings of I sleep on them. Again just keep cleaning it, don't sleep on it and for now, use ice in a ziplock bag and hold it to your ear where it's irritated. Hope this helped :)

If it doesn't stop for a long time than talk to a doctor. They'll tell you how to care for it.

The jewelry might be too tight, try loosening it.
Don't turn the piercing and touch it as little as possible, keep your hair away from it and clean it using cotton buds twice a day.
