Okay I have a really long explanation for you:
First, invest in a sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner. The L'oreal EverStrong line is good. They also have an EverCurl line, which I haven't tried, but I assume is good as well.
Second, invest in a deep conditioner like Macadamia's Deep Repair Masque.
Third, in the shower, wash your hair first thing. Apply shampoo only to the roots, and conditioner only to the ends. After that, apply your deep conditioner liberally to the ends of your hair and then minimally to the rest of your head. Then, put your hair in a bun, and leave it until the end of your shower. The last thing you do should be to rinse the deep conditioner out with cold water. That routine should help keep your hair hydrated and clean and feeling nice :)

Because the hair at the end is dead you have to slowly start cutting it off, because it's dead it will not retain any type of products you put on it. also if your hair is dry stay away from products with alcohols & shampoos with sulfate because it will only dry it out more. ECO style gel is a great alcohol free gel & still works amazing I use it personally also when it come to shampooing you don't need to do it every week. because shampoo strips the hair of EVERYTHING. try washing your hair with just conditioner that way you wash out the build up of products but you're keeping your natural oils you produce which helps your hair from drying. another way to keep your hair from drying out is to use the L.O.C. method. I too have natural hair & it is also dry from when I dye it in the summer. but I use all these methods & they work great.

I've seen that oil before Erin but how do you use it like after you style your hair or before as it's dry?

I agreed with Taylor K. If your hair is damaged despite what everyone says there is nothing you can do to fix it besides cutting it off and starting over. There are shampoos and treatments that will make your hair feel a little better but they cannot repair what has been damaged. I'm speaking from experience and what I would suggest doing is getting your hair cut once every month and a half. If your hair is damaged already 3 months is too long to wait in between hair cuts. (I had very damaged hair that was what I did and it's almost back to normal!) what will happen if you don't cut all the damaged portion off is your hair will just keep breaking even up to your scalp! Also use Josie Maran argan oil! It's amaze! You can find it at Sephora! Hope this helps girl :)

For repair, use essential oil conditioning treatments like pro naturals moroccan argan oil hair mask once a week and get regular trims to prevent split or damaged ends. Try not to use heat or dyes on your hair either!
