I've had mine for like 3 years. There isn't really enough flesh there for it to hurt but it's just like a pinch then your eyes water. They made me put a hoop in after but I found it easier to heal just talking the ball off and opening the hoop to get it to flip inside. Idk if that's recommended but when it was out I would always accidentally bump it all the time and I was scared it would get sore and not heal right with all the bumping. So all that worked for me. Hope it helped :)

I've had mine for 3 or more years. like Danielle said, didn't really hurt, just eyes watering. the first time I had it done, it migrated a bit and I ended up with sinus problems (not due to piercing) I had to remove it. summer seems to be a good time to get it done, less wiping of your nose because of cold weather. it has been fine as I have had enough time to heal before I got a cold. placement was much better also. I love retainers and the flip up. good luck! I think it will look awesome on you!! post a pic!!

Michele, I had pierced my nipples already lol. I have eight holes in my ears, medusa, labret, cheek, tongue, nipples, belly button, horizontal stomach piercing, and nose (nostril), full arm sleeve, shoulder to shoulder back tat, neck and foot tattoos. I am excited for this new addition but work is extremely strict on this so I need to make sure I can flip it inside to keep it hidden while at work!!

I had the piercer flip mine up for me and teach me how to care for it that way. I just explained the work thing.. he got it and put in a smaller gage that was easier to flip without too much pushing and pulling. once it healed I went back for a bigger hoop that was easy to flip and still very hidable. I also had my second piercing set back a tiny bit further to hide it better. I'd love to see pics of your tatts! I also have a pile of piercings and tatts. you will ROCK this!!

I got the 14 the first time and it migrated. the 16 the second time and it has been awesome! I can/and have moved up to 14.. but find the 16 is easier to flip and its easier to subtle. talk to your piercer.. he'll let you know what is best for your nose space and if you have migration problems ;-)
