Is a short dress ok for junior prom or should I get a long one!

I would say a longer one. I was never a fan of the short backless prom dresses. you should opt for a longer one and something that goes with your personality.

I think long is traditional, while short is for less formal dances like homecoming.

I would go with long.

I wore a short dress. Not even like a "prom" dress. It was short, silver sequined, and tight with thick tank top straps.

Girl, get which ever makes you feel like a princess (queen is for your wedding day). I always wore long dresses cus short dress were waaay too short on me cus of my height. But I know girls that wore short dress and they looked fun! Like one of my friends were a dress that had lot of rhinestones areround the breast area, lace around her stomach area, and skinny feather for the skirt! and she wore red heels with red lips! I regret not getting one like hers :(
Just remember that you are going to be dancing and there's going to be a lot of people, so it will feel hot and sweaty.

Forgot to mention, that was for my senior prom. I didn't go to my junior prom because there was a concert that night haha.

For my junior prom I did the big poofy stereotypical prom dress. I loved every minute of it. But for my senior prom I went with a short one, which I also loved! If it's your first you might regret not doing a long one. But do what makes you feel beautiful!

Usually in my school which is small. short dresses were for freshman, sophomore, and senior prom. especially senior. long poofy dresses were for junior.

I wore a long one for my junior prom and I'm getting a long one this year too. But keep in mind that short ones are usually on the cheaper side and you can show off some crazy blingy heels that you may not be able to see under a long dress.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I wore a short dress at my wedding and I loved it. Got so many good comments from everyone. If you have a short dress you love, go for it! Short can still be formal!

It seriousely doesn't mater if it short or long. Wear absolutely what ever you want! My school never had prom or homecoming, just graduation in grade 12. But half the girls in my grad class wore long while the other half wore short. There's no "set" rules as to what to do. I'd suggest try on an array of dresses long short poufy tight what ever in between and find the one you fall in love with.
