I have posted this before but didn't get any responses... I am getting my braces off soon and I want to change up my hair/ makeup. Here is my hair now... my makeup is what I normally do (very simple). Any suggestions? I will post the haircut I am thinking about.

Keep your hair how it is! but if you really wanna change it up, either curl it, crimp it, or straighten it. don't get it cut though. bangs would look cute too

I wouldn't cut it you could style it differently.

I guess the picture doesn't show it but I had bangs and they have grown out to just past my chin and look awful. :/ They are clipped back in the picture.

Yeah I think it would look good but I don't think that's the best picture to go off. Here's another idea.

I wouldn't cut the hair it looks so pretty and healthy but maybe another style. You can put the attention on your eyes. Maybe with a good eyeliner and volume maskara or you could use lipstick. It can be naturally if you like that. So I would use a bit colour at make up and maybe curl your hair or do another style. I hope it helps a bit :)

Thank you guys! The reason I liked this style is because of the layers and the blunt bangs and I thought that would be a good change. I guess I am mainly wondering if the bangs would look good.

Thanks Autumn. Sadly I have gone down that road before and it looked awful! I would post a picture but I successfully avoided taking pictures during that time. I find that any haircut at or above my shoulders does not work for my face at all! But I love the makeup idea!

Ok first your hair: the picture you posted of Taylor Swift shows a VERY heavy bang/fringe. That's a big commitment and could be limiting, you don't look to have a very big forehead so there won't be that much hair to actually play with, like sweeping to the side, you know? I speak from experience. You could add some layers to your hair and that would break up things around your face and by the bottom of your hair and give you more to play with and more texture. I think that would be a good style for you, it looks like you are mostly a wash n go gal, and you could still do so, just with some more interest around your face. Lynzie's hair pic is cute, I like the layers a lot, but are you going to blow dry and straighten your hair every day?
As for makeup: you're young and don't need much and can also be more playful. So there's a lot that's up to you there. You seem to favor a more natural pretty, I would add a GOOD highlighter to your routine, think M.A.C Soft And Gentle or the like, and a pretty lipgloss. Eyeshadows are endless, maybe a Naked palette, Naked 3 would be pretty for you or Naked1, and play with that.

Thanks Bree! Actually I am quite the opposite of wash and go. I spent at least 30 minutes to get my hair like it is in the picture. I am certainly willing to blow dry my hair and straighten it, but I had cut my bangs like lynzies picture, and wasn't a huge fan of the way it looked. I have had way too many bad experiences with haircuts so I appreciate you sharing yours with the bangs! And I love your suggestions for makeup... I have actually been wanting to get the naked 3, I am just having trouble justifying the cost. Thank you for your help! I really appreciate it!

Oh, I thought that was your natural hair! You're good. Then I would definitely get more layers.

You have nice hair.
