What are some good fashion tips and techniques for short people? I'm about 5'1'-ish. Thanks! :)

I tend to stick with the laid back look and wear jeans and a hoodie (small hoodies are big on me so it just adds to the look) haha sorry I don't have the best taste in clothing.

I'm 5'6 so I'm in the middle somewhere, but tips for elongating the legs seem to be universal. Bear in mind, I'm not a fan of "rules" and so I'm going to say be damned with it and break them, but you might want to try the following: Avoid cuffs. Cuffs stop the eye above the ankle. Hightops...cute, but with shorts or skirts also cut at the calf..drawing attention to their length. Nude heels with skirts or shoes in the same color as slacks elongate the leg by drawing the eye downward. Tunic shirts and sweaters are comfy, but elongate the torso...resulting in shorter legs to the eye. Skirts that fall mid-knee or above the knee are flattering. Tights that match a skirt also serve to lengthen the leg by fooling the eye. Boatnecks...V necks..exposing your collarbone draw attention upward. Holidays are perfect for highlighting that area or adding a little sparkle. Short jackets that fall above the natural waistline may work for you as well. Hope that is of some use. :)

@Rozberry, I'm 4'10, and I obey absolutely NONE of those rules! :) I almost always roll up the cuffs of my pants (they're too long anyway, so I just pretend it's deliberate.) I wear shorts and skirts ranging from the very tips of my thighs to just above my ankles. I wear all kinds of shirts. @Kira, I'd advise you to wear absolutely whatever you want :) tiny ladies rock!
