Canola oil will clog your pores. I would do some research on how to properly make essential oils. you shouldn't have to add any other oils.

So even if I'm just adding a few drops to something for lip balms and lotions it won't be any good??

I don't think so either. Canola oil just seems so unpure and greasy to me. That may not be the actual facts but in my opinion I wouldnt put that type of oil on my face or body. You can get essential oils from so many places now, I would do it the correct way from the start so that you can truly benefit your skin as oppose to possibly making it worse.

The oils you buy at the grocery store (I'm assuming thats where you got the canola) are hardly even the real thing. they've been pasteurized and preserved and should only be used for cooking.

I heard canola oil is great for pre conditioning.
