I love navel piercings! I have one and I don't regret getting it because it's super cute and I love having it pierced when I wear crop tops and bathing suits :) it does get annoying sometimes though and sometimes I forget I even have it but I like it! I think 16 is a good age even though I got mine when I was 15 lol.

I have one and I'm OBSESSED! 💗 I don't think it's trashy at all. I love jewelry, so every time I look at it I just think it's sooo pretty! My only advice to anyone who plans on getting it pierced, is just be gentle with it. I got it pulled a couple times or got it caught on my shirt by accident. That was painful! But overall, yes I adore them!

Mum took me to get mine when I was 14 and I've kept it ever since then.
I think girl's belly buttons look weird without them lol.
They only really seem trashy on girls who show them off 24/7 and have tacky looking jewelry in them.
Whatever age you're comfortable getting one I guess, aslong as its not under 14 then its just gross. Probably even 15 is a better age but I looked about 16 when I was 14 so eh.
I got underneath mine pierced (not the bottom part) when I was 18 but it grew out quickly.

I wanted one so badly in my early teens... I think I forgot about it after I turned 18. My best friend has hers pierced and it looks great, but now it just isn't something I think about. I'm 22 and in law school, so now I probably wouldn't get one. They can look cute or trashy, depends how you wear them! If you have way too much going on, like a super long charm or something really dumb like a playboy bunny, that's trashy. But I've seen some really cool belly rings and charms :)

I also agree with Paige. Only trashy if you flaunt it ALL the time. I think 16 is the best age, which is when I got it. But all of my friends got it younger.

Yeah like its okay to show it off if you're at the beach or wearing a crop top and shorts at a concert, but not ALL THE TIME.. especially with stupid jewelry such as playboy bunnies, weed leaf, etc.and those ridiculously long chains that just look cheap. No offense to anyone.

I got mine on my 13th birthday. Hahaha,Hate on it. my mom let me get a piercing that my dad wouldnt notice in lieu of helping her organize shit for tax returns. I was good at bribery (;
As far as the actual piercing goes, it didnt hurt at all. Mine got ripped out by some kid in 9th grade & so my belly button was literally split in half. I got it redone a few months ago but it was pierced wrong and had to go. So,although they can be hella cute, it just won't work for me.

Seems like most girls 'round here had their navels done in middle school,too. Maybe it depends on where you live? I don't know. But I was a bit promiscuous and only got mine to be "sexy". haha, nothing sexy about a deformed belly button.

Well I think 16 is the youngest you could get them. I won't say anything about whether they are 'classy or trashy' or whatever. I save mine just for my fiancé. No one ever ever sees my torso except him so I could care less about it except for the fact he likes it.

I got mine pierced when I was 15 but I have to admit, I do think they're a little trashy! When I look at the VS Angels who are the epitome of classy and sexy, barely any of them have left their belly button rings in! I still have mine but definitely something to think about! Great question :)
