I am looking to add Retinol to my skin regime. Is OTC or RX preferred? If OTC, what suggestions do you have? Thanks!!

Rx is stronger and will work faster. drug store is good to but won't work as fast and can be gentler on your skin. Rx can be pretty harsh if you over use it. need to start off a couple times a week then build up slowly. I'd start w drug store then move up to the prescription. neutrugina rapid wrinkle, play pro x deep wrinkle.

I would start off with OTC first and after at least 6 months maybe head into RX. I started off with OTC because I wanted the lowest percentage to get my skin acclimated before taking the plunge with RX. I will probably go RX next year. Just be sure that which ever method you go do not apply everyday. I started out with baby steps. Twice a week for night-time application. Did that for about a month and then I moved up to three times a week. Sometimes I switch up between 2x's or 3x's a week. And do not apply anywhere near your eyes. I did by accident...ouch.

Ladies, to piggy back off Ericas question..Shelley mentioned 6months to do OTC. is that an.accurate time to see results?.

Everyone's skin is different and you can use retinol for anti aging of for acne if used for acne you can see results as soon as six weeks if for anti aging you will notice a difference anywhere from a month to six months but the benefits come from prolonged use the longer you use it the better your skin will be it helps with everything tone, texture, firmness, wrinkles, ance, its, the, number, one, product you should use if you are trying to prevent signs of aging and as Shelley stated your skin has to become acclimated to it so six months before you mover to a stonger one will prevent the peeling and flaky skin people sometimes get when using this.

Lol. Traci & Naomi...I just adore you two. Always keep me smiling. Yep, sleep on your back. Sleeping on your tummy just causes havoc to the skin. Not only that any skincare products you apply will just be sucked up by your bedding (plus stain the material). Its definitely wrinkle causing to because it places pressure on the skin. And if you sleep on your back with your pillow just slighted elevated you can reduce swelling in the eye area (puffy eye) that occurs in the morning.

Hmm alright Shelley!. that's logical. (I have am engineering degree so if there's no logical behind it, you lost me... lol). I usually do try to sleep on my back just cause of getting my face goo on my pillow but the rest makes a lot of sense.
but like I said, if I could sleep, that's the first battle. then I'll focus on sleeping on my back. ha!
