Um you could do red but only certain colors go with it... Gold would be better but it is really up to you... :)

Red eyeliner can be worn all depending on the quality of the red and how it's worn, same as red eyeshadow. If your guests aren't comfortable with makeup , red eyeshadow probably isn't a good idea. If they're more creative on the other hand they may see the red as a challenge.
