Light lip colors for dark shaded lips.

Hi Everyone,

So I have always loved some light shade lipcolors, lipsticks, and glosses but unfortunately they do not turn out that great on me since I have dark deep color lips. How can I make the light colored lip colors look good on me? Is there a base or something I can try? Please provide with any ideas or guidance. Thanks.

Maybe try some moisturizing concealer first?

Try dabbing your concealer or foundation over your lips to cancel out the color.

Concealer and foundation will make your color stand out, but if you want your lips to lighten you should Mix olive oil lemon juice and water really well and apply to your lips every day, you may experience peeling at first but that is a good sign.

Nadine, try matte lip colors, they come out closer to the real color but lipgloss, and sheer lipsticks will tend to change color due to pigmented lips. I have the same problem, I stick to orange toned color somehow they seem to cover the darkness.
