For a Deep Clean I like to soak them in 1 part olive oil 1 park antibacterial hand soap
leave them for about 30-60 seconds then swirl out all the product, rinse then swirl them again. squeeze and shape them then let them air dry

For a quick clean (not too quick)
I like Aussies Moist shampoo, it deep cleans and has moisturizing aloe in it which also conditions the hairs.
I just swirl the brushes in the shampoo then rinse, shape and dry.

This is how I clean my brushes.

Shampoo works the best and its cheap! a professional makeup artist told me not to waste money on brush cleansers that shampoo works better :)

Jaclyn Hill has a video about it. I don't remember exactly but I think she uses a certain face wash.

I use to use dove shampoo to clean mine, but about 3months ago I started cleaning them with Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo and I feel it works ALOT better. They feel more soft, and I also don't break out as much. I clean them every 2-3 times I use them. I clean them at night though because your suppose to leave them air dry, and depending on the type of brush it is, it can take a little longer. Just run them under water, pour a little bit of the baby shampoo into your hand and mix it with a little bit of water, then rub each brush into the shampoo. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helped(:

If I need to clean them quickly I use mac brush cleanser and swirl the brush around on a tissue to clean it, for a deeper clean use baby shampoo and swirl it in some water but try to avoid getting the handle part wet you only want I wet the bristles if it goes further to where the glue is it will damage the brush and make it weaker x

I take a clipboard then with a hot glue gun, I make random dots and curves lines. When I wash my brushes, I put soap on my bored then run water Over it. Lastly I take my brushes and just move them around the bored. (I'll post a pic)

Polly, that is an INSANELY GOOD idea! I swear some people are so stinkin' creative! I'm sooo lazy when it comes to washing my brushes and I know for a fact I don't do it as often as I should. I'm going to try out your technique, it seems like it'd make brush cleaning fun!
