Hello everyone I want to pursue a career in the makeup industry as a makeup artist/sales rep. Would it be recommended to pursue my cosmetology license or would esthetics be better? or if anyone has any other suggestions or advice it would be very much appreciated :)

In my opinion, if your solely interested in makeup taking the full cosmetology program would be a big waste of time. I'd go just for esthetics.
I only want to be a makeup artist as well, but I'm doing the full program. I look at it as I will always have my hair skills to fall back on in case I can't find work as a MUA.

Esthetics! cosmetology is just all hair, and like a week of makeup and a week of nails tech lol

I have a license in both and you only learn a tiny bit about makeup in both of them esthetics is focusing on skin conditions and skincare we had a few weeks doing makeup I recommend looking into makeup classes or mua schools.
