Every time I curl my hair with a straightener it gets that gross burnt smell even if I use heat protectant. How do I avoid the smell. If I can't avoid it completely how do I cover up the smell?

Maybe this is due to your straightener?if so,you should invest in a good quality one(?)

Stop using heat? It's better than over frying your hair and having to chop it off.

Use a dry shampoo maybe that'll cover it up.

I agree with Isabel M. and you might need a new flat iron.

Buy an hair iron cleaner. There's probably residue left on your iron that is burning and causing an odor:)

Try a heat protectant and don't use heat regualy because once its damaged you have to cut it off.
