So I've heard that exfoliating with acne can irate and cause more breakouts. is this true? cause it's winter and my skin is so dry and my moisturizer isn't cutting it! thanks. x

Yes, you can exfoliate if you have acne. Just be sure to use a gentle exfoliant and don't do it too often because that will irritate your skin. :)

I use sugar with my cleanser, it's healthier you know, does the same thing without all those harsh chemicald.

Exfoliating can help. But for me it cause more and it actually infected my breakouts, not helping at all. I have a combination skin and it sucks. My forehead is dry and my nose and my chin is oily. But it might work for you, depending on what your skin type is. I really like the Nutregena face scrub. Also, whatever you do DO NOT SCRUB HARD. You want to be gentle because pushing them down hard will cause it to make it itchy or irritated. Personally, for me, I use a regualr face wash as I use a facial lotion. My face lotion is Cetaphil and I works great! It gets rid of acne and redness and you can get it at any drugstore for $9.
