In this changing weather seasons my lips become ultra dry and chapped. Does anyone have a good chap stick they would recommend? I've always used Softlips but it doesn't help long term. Also if you know anything that helps rid of the dry/dead skin. I jut want soft lips! Them being so chapped prevents me from being able to wear lipstick and having it look good.

I say use the toothbrush method, like Mairead suggested. Lightly brush in a circular motion over your lips, should get rid of dead skin easily! Don't press too hard!

In the winter I adore the body shop lip butters. they are amazing and keep you well moisturized and they smell and taste yummy

It really does not matter, lips are sensitive and do not have pores to eliminate dirt like our skin and need hydration and protection, as long as those things are covered it does not matter which company/brand the product is. The important part is getting rid of dead skin so like the othera have suggested scrub your lips :) If you want extra soft lips put clarified butter on your lips before you go to bed. You will wake up with the softest lips and it will heal any chapping. Just put very little

Try a mixture of Vaseline and sugar, very softly rub of lips with finger or soft bristled toothbrush. Wipe off and then I use either my baby lips or candy cane Chapstick.

My favorite balms are:
* Jack Black
* Fresh
* Philosophy's Kiss Me Tonight (go to their website for it or on Amazon.)
* First Aid Beauty
* Treat Beauty Pink Buttercream lip balm (treatbeauty.com or amazon. it's 100% natural, and the size of a glue stick for $8.)
And you can get all the others I mentioned at Sephora. Sorry that they're not typically priced lip balms. I've gone past the point where drug store balms just never work for me. I love all the ones I mentioned though. Especially the Philosophy one for at night. The little jar should last all winter and probably longer. So worth $20 in my opinion.

What I do when I have chapped lips is I use the E.L.F Lip Exfoliator, then use Burt's Bees Replenishing chap stick in pomegranate. And that works great for me!
