I have black hair, and I want to lighten my tips to be medium brown... Is there any DIY ideas that I can use? I do not worry about damage to my tips because I will be getting a haircut, but please let me know of anything at all so I can try to see if this suits me at all!! Thanks!! :$

Peroxide or lemon juice, kills your hair though.

I heard that lemon doesn't work for black hair, I'm sure it won't, but what's perioxide?

It's a medical alcohol I think, but it does work very quickly on hair (I did it myself) I think it's basically like bleaching without bleach.

You can find peroxide in the first aid section in your local store. It disinfects cuts.

There is no way to healthily lighten dark hair.
