Whenever I apply concealer, the area under my eyes seem to show dryness in bright light, and it looks as if the skin is peeling or cracked.
I apply purple concealer under my eyes to get rid of dark circles then I use natural concealer over it.
I've already tried so many moisturisers, and none of them seem to work! And the dryness only is visible when I apply makeup onto it.
Would there be any way to fix this?
Thanks so much in advance! x

I have this same problem and I searched it up on YouTube and one video said to just take a piece of tape and it will come off and it works great!

Apply a moisturizing eye cream, a drugstore one will work! I had the same problem then started using eye cream to help with the dryness.

The opposite of purple would be yellow. Benefit has an amazing yellow concealer used for the under eyes. Try a yellow concealer, purple will enhance the shadow instead of cover.

Ok to fix this long term, so you never come across this problem again, start using tinted moisturizer as your foundation. I came across Physicians Formula Tinted Moisturizer by accident, I bought it and didn't even realize it (and it was my color😜) anyways, this stuff covers unbelievably well. I wasn't planning on using this as my foundation but seeing as it covers and evens my skin out so well, foundation just isn't necessary and ALL of my dry skin issues are gone! This stuff is a hidden treasure. Great price, you can find it anywhere and even has SPF in it. What more can you ask for?!

Wait, tape?? How does that work?

The Tape is to remove dead skin. Basically you should exfoliate. try maybe a safe and natural sugar scrub. but definitely you need moisture. Try Cliniques all about eyes RICH eye cream. or moisture surge from clinique.

Isomers makes a eye peel it gently removes dead skin you do not want to use a scrub under your eye area you use the peel and then apply a moisturizing eye cream ,you can use the peel once a week and the eye cream daily.

I had the same problem until I tried Cover girl + Olay eye rehab concealer. It has really hydrating serum in it! :)

I agree with Banashi, you should be using yellow concealer, not purple. Also, it is a horrible idea to put tape on the skin around your eyes... You will do a lot of damage! Just try to take care of your skin with a better moisturizing regimen and switch to a concealer that is light diffusing... It will take some trial and error to find the best for your skin.

Agree with the other girls tape idea sounds crazy. The under eye area is so delicate pulling something off of it sounds damaging.

I have the same problem and smashbox hydrating under eye cream has changed my life lol. Seriously though, I put it on when I apply moisturizer and it eliminates the dryness and helps my concealer stay longer and not look flakey or cracked.

I have the same problem, from what I was gathering online it could be milia?? Mine arent like bumps but it almost looks like scales when I wear makeup. I've tried better quality makeup, I use coconut oil every night, exfoliate once a week and use eye serums and its still the same. I think it may be my diet and I don't sleep much (6month old baby and a horrible case of night owl syndrome) let me know if you figure it out!
