How do you guys part your hair in sections when curking so it all looks even? Help please. Also if I want soft curls how many seconds should I hold it for?

- I section it off differently each time. An easy way is go section it in half/ ear To ear, split those into left and right sections then curl it and repeat for the top half.
-how long you hold it depends how hot the curling tool is

I have thick hair but it's really fine so I get away with more. My top layer I do about an inch by inch section at a time all around my head and then section off thin vertical strips of the entire rest of my head for the bottom layer. It saves time and I actually think it looks better than when I used to do three sections. I don't really hold it in for a set amount of time, I start towards my head and once that part is hot I add more in sections until I'm to my ends and I leave them in the shortest to avoid what damage I can
