Yes you should use a higher end straightener because some of the cheaper ones are really bad for hair like your, so maybe you should use the CHI air. You can find it at target and sometimes tjmaxx has them once in a while for like FRACTION 0f the price including a set. When you straighten you should definitely section it out, I really helps. Well hope THAT helps:)
